These scarce journals form an incomplete run from 1970-1990. There are a total of 60 volumes. Each year is represented with a different color magazine and has 4 quarterly volumes. A few have ownership stamps and light rubbing. They are in VG+ to Near Fine condition.


Biotropica is a scholarly science publication which collects data from the wildlife of tropical climates from all over the world. These original paperback journals are illustrated with charts, graphs, photos and drawings. This vintage collection spans twenty years. Each volume has been bookmarked to pinpoint information on a specific African or Caribbean country including Uganda, Trinidad, South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Jamaica, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Dominica, Gabon, Uganda, Zambia, St. Croix, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire and many more from all over the globe.


*B. Adebayo Lasebikan is a pioneer zoologist [oribatodologist] from Nigeria. There is an insect (mite) named after him that he helped discover. (Nothrus lasebikani). He taught at the University of Ife, Department of Zoology, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and was founder and research director at Centre for Appropriate Research and Technology, Nigeria.
